Here's our latest attempt at posting a video to the interweb tubes. Our previous attempts haven't been successful because of the gargantuan file size of our videos. Tonight we spent some time learning how to compress a video file. I downloaded a trial video compression program; I didn't realize it would paste 'Trial Version' text across our video. I'll have to either buy some editing software or get an interweb genius to show me another way to compress videos.
Cecelia is learning to communicate with us through physical expression. She brings her hands together when she wants 'more', and she makes a fish-lip face to let us know that we need to be providing her with food to chew. The sound in the background is me chopping vegetables for a fennel salad, recipe below:
- 1 bulb fennel
- 1 bunch radishes
- 1 cucumber
- A few carrots
- rice vinegar
- dill 1-2 tsp if fresh
Thinly slice fennel, carrots and radishes. Seed and chop cucumber. Mix everything into a bowl and toss with some rice vinegar and some dill to taste. Cover and refrigerate. This salad gets better as the days go by and the veggies marinate in the vinegar, but it is really tasty the day of preparation as well.
