This photo was taken in 7/06 after a long battle between man and halibut. Mike had gone jigging for halibut in Mill Bay, Kodiak on a beautiful Saturday. After paddling around for ~1/2 hour, he finally hooked this "bad boy" and the fight was on. It took over 2 hours to reel in then paddle this halibut to shore. On this one occasion, man won!
