Weekend news

Busy weekend for Mike, Cecelia and myself...

Mike needed to unexpectedly help with furniture moving at his work as 75% of the building's carpet is replaced. What a huge project! It's going to take a few days but Mike's been working on this project for awhile- getting the funding, carpet selection, ordering supplies and then getting bids and awarding the contract for installation. So this weekend when one of his scheduled workers did not show up, he stepped in and got the work done (despite missing his college football games). What a guy!!!

Cecelia and I hung out together on Saturday and were busy with weekend chores, taking the dogs for a drive, going to the health food store, taking Kodiak pictures for Blog, taking some supplies to the thrift store, and then helping Mike a little at night with his work project. I got to workout on Sat and Sun at my work gym...feels good to be "back in the saddle again." Just gotten too cold to go for long walks outside.

Sunday was Cecelia and Mike's day together after he pt in some time at work in the am. I made some Elk stew and a baked sliced apple dish to take to dinner at a friend's house. The elk was so good! Very lean so the stew wasn't greasy and the slow cooking made the elk wonderfully tender! Yummm.

Here are a few pics of Kodiak from Saturday. Was a windy and cold day- BRRRRRR.

Love to all, R
