Here's a photo of "Stacy Studebaker stands in front of "Gordie," the 37-foot gray whale skeleton she helped put back together for the new Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge Visitor's Center. The center's grand opening was Saturday, as crowds checked out displays including the main hall's exhibit on the Kodiak brown bear. KMXT's Casey Kelly was there and has this story. It's a really cool story- Studebaker found the dead whale off of Pasagshak while kayaking. They buried it in a 40' long and 10' deep pit on the beach and then unearthed it 4 years later. You can google this story- they have their own website (Kodiak Gray Whale Project, "Gordie")
