Good Morning friends and family...
To start, the Pfeffer-White household are pretty tired this am. What a night! No wild sex just the indignant and fierce cries of Cecelia. Oh Vayyyyy! I read this morning that infants can have re-occurring difficulties with sleeping through the night for many reasons...separation anxiety, teething, bad dreams, etc. So if you pray, pray for sweet dreams and sleep for Cecelia and her parents. Thank you.
Hot Topics...hmmm
1. Congrats to Jo-Lo on her confirmed pregnancy! But I rather liked that her clothing was more conservative and thought she presented a better role model as such.
2. Rising oil prices. First a disclaimer for my limited knowledge on the subject...but currently there is an ad campaign on TV regarding AK selling its oil to the oil companies who are benefiting most from this valuable resource. I have to wonder if AK ever considered developing its own oil company to handle this resource. And if it had what resources would the state now boast. Kodiak could certainly use state funds for new school buildings, paved roads in the borough, more senior housing and services, etc. But with the current higher oil prices, AK should benefit in some ways.
3. Finally, Maggie, AK's only elephant, has retired to CA. What a triumph to a grassroots movement that fought for Maggie's retirement to a warm place. So finally, about 2 weeks ago, she flew down to CA to an elephant refuge. The attached photo is not Maggie but a majestic elephant at the Omaha Zoo.
Photos on the next blog posting include: first 2 photos are of what was NOT happening last night, Cecelia's alter identity (is this the right term?), and one of the elephants from the Omaha Zoo.
