Weekend news

Hi friends and family,

It's been a blustery, cold weekend here in Kodiak...but with clear, blue skies. Am enjoying deer tacos with Mike as Cecelia is having her evening nap. I'll grind up some for her when she awakens.

Has been a fairly good weekend. We chopped down and decorated our Christmas tree, worked on a few gifts, enjoyed a few fires in the wood stove, and figured out how to burn some DVD's from the computer.

But I've been presented with some interesting bits of wisdom this weekend that I'd like to share: 1. "Put the toilet paper in the freezer"...after eating a lot of spicy food. I've never before heard of this or experienced the need for such a home remedy. I wonder if this is actually a common remedy and is it effective??

2. "Cecelia is smarter than our dog." These words of wisdom came from her doctor- who is a wonderful doctor here in Kodiak. We ran into her at Walmart and she had these encouraging words...that if we can train our dog, we'll be able to "train" Cecelia." The only flaw to this logic is that our dogs are not well trained. Hmmm

3. When feeding your baby, remember that what goes in must come out. Cecelia had an interesting combo of butternut squash and kiwi for diner yesterday. So today...

Photos include our new Christmas tree, Cecelia refusing to wake up from her nap, and Kodiak photo from Friday.

Au revoir mes amies,

R
