Mike, Cecelia and I had a great morning and early afternoon on Christmas- opening a few presents, enjoying some am play time and cooking for Christmas dinner. This year Mike roasted a brined turkey, made mashed potatoes, and gravy, and I made a gluten-free carrot cake (Namaste brand spice cake mix)...all of which we took over to the Saltonstall's for a holiday potluck. (I also cooked butternut squash but it unfortunately did not make the cut...became pasty. Glue-like, not sure what went wrong.) Patrick and Zoya are wonderful hosts and we also enjoyed brined elk roast, sweet potatoes and yams, stuffing, Britney cake, vanilla ice cream, wild rice, roasted potatoes, crab salsa and chips...and the stimulating company of their other guests. So much fun!
Pics are of Cecelia in her Christmas dress (a present from a fab family friend), Nora, Stuey and Cecelia playing after a good meal, and Stuey...Smile.
Love you all, R
