Maybe the tide is turning...

Yesterday I had such an interesting day dealing with credit card companies... Mike and I had made 2 small gaffs with two of our credit cards. With one card, we pay off the entire amount every month in order to rack up airline miles but not finance charges. Unfortunately, last month the standard payment was paid even though the entire balance was written in our check book. So I called up to clarify and make sure it wasn't a computer error rather than human (it does happen...rarely). The credit card rep was actually pleasant on the phone, confirmed that it appeared that the minimum amount was paid, but since she could see we always paid the entire balance offered to remove the finance charge! Yes, she offered this and I readily accepted!

Okay, one more credit card company 'feel good' story. So the second gaff we made was missing a bill due date by 1 day. Uggggg...and this credit card interest rate is 0% as long as we make all our payments on time. So I called up the company, and again the rep was NICE! Maybe the Wall Street-depression has scared them "nice". Anyway, the rep told me I had a 24 hr grace period (WOW...since when?) and we should not been penalized for the lateness. When I asked about our 0% interest rate, she said nothing on her screen appeared that we would lose it. So I guess I'll have to wait and see.

And the above pic is of a few co-workers at a good-bye dinner for Peggy, our wonderful PT traveler from Seattle (she's on the right, betw the man in blue and woman in red). Kodiak was blessed to have her here for awhile...and can only hope she'll return one day. Second pic is what Cece was practically doing as I attempted to take the first pic. Cece enjoyed a virgin pina colada and some steak for dinner but was ready to go. -R
