Glorious Sunday

What fantastic weather we've had this Sunday! Sun, blue blue skies, about 48 degrees outside. This morning Mike wanted to go get beach peat (a wonderful mix of decomposing beach and sea matter that sits and ripens all winter)...after being inspired and spurred on by his friend, Patrick- master gardener, who got his peat yesterday. So we all loaded in and headed out the road to where we get our peat- about 30 minutes from town. Cecelia and I played on the beach as Mike loaded up the peat. By the time we got back home, Cece was napping in the truck so Mike and I were able to quickly unload the truck, putting the peat in his raised garden beds.
This afternoon, Mike and Cece went to Walmart to get some flowers for the greenhouse and I baked a small pan of gluten-free brownies with pecans- yummmm.
Pics include a view from Spruce Cape road where we walked this afternoon, Mike and Cece hanging after the peat was collected, a view from the beach- see the beach grass growing green and the snow still on the mountains...Spring, the beach peat in the back of my truck after we'd taken a few wheelbarrows to the raised beds, and an eagle in his nest that we spotted on our drive back to town. Love to all our friends and family, -R

What is this "CeCe" stuff???? You wouldn't allow me to give her a nickname when we were together in January......I dont remember what it is now, but I think whatever I came up with was a lot better than "CeCe". hahaha ; ) Love you!
