McCain on The View

Senator John McCain was on The View this morning. Not a wise move in my humble opinion as Obama was on approximately a week ago. Differences were noted as the following:

  • McCain...stiff and grandfatherly / Obama...relaxed and charming,

  • McCain...very Bush-like / Obama...different, represents 'change' and 'the new generation',

  • McCain...stated that we have to get Osama bin Laden. That if he becomes president, HE will get Bin Laden (does this sound obsessive-conceited?) So the war would continue / Obama...enough is enough. 7 years and over 4000 US deaths in Iraq. It's time to end the war.
  • McCain...co-host Elizabeth asks a foo-foo question then applies for his running mate. Co-hosts Whoopi and Joy asked tough questions and visibly disagreed with his answers and opinions. / Obama was grilled by Elizabeth over his association with his previous pastor. The rest of the co-hosts were impressed with Obama and his answers to their in-depth questions.

Overall, despite my personal opinions, Obama faired much better in this setting and gave a much more favorable impression. He definitely won me over and McCain made his view of the war very clear...It will continue until Osama bin Laden is caught. Sigh
