We're in HAWAII! After a hectic week, a cancelled flight out of Kodiak d/t snow, Cecelia deciding 2 hours of sleep was plenty- for everyone (hotel room in Anchorage night before our flight), and our 6 hour flight to Oahu...we made it. Last night at around midnight, we arrived at our condo rooms. While our lodgings are a little shabby, there are many many pluses- 2 bedroom suite, a nice clean and modern bathroom, 7th floor (away from most of the street noise), fully furnished kitchen, solid walls (older building, walls are a good thing with our noisy 11 month-old) and a price that allows us to be here. This morning, we explored Waikiki on foot, ate at Roy's for a good lunch, and are now taking a break during the mid-day sun in the condo. Luckily (for Mike), these hours correspond with the Superbowl on TV.
Wish you were all here. The following pics are of the Salmon Alaska Airlines plane, a shot of Waikiki (blue skiies, palm tress, and buildings...huge city), Cecelia and Mike at the International Marketplace and Cecelia enjoying edemame at lunch.
Love to all, R (sorry for an misspellings...Blogger's spellcheck is not responding.
