Periodically I have strong urges...to create beauty, express myself with colors and textures, to lose myself in the process of "creation" (hey! get your mind out of the gutter). It's in my genes. There are many artists in my family. My sister Rosella (she's used many different mediums...turned a dirty, torn crocheted tablecloth into a spectacular wall hanging), my brother Andrew (metal artist), my Mom (quilter, wood carver), my step-Mom (crocheter, cake decorator), my grandmother (quilter), my Aunt Linda (quilter), my dad (photographer), my step grandmother (quilter), my step-Aunt Patty (cross-stitcher), and my step father (carpenter/ woodworker). And while my brothers Leon and Josh don't produce typical works of art, they are passionate about techology and basketball, prospectively. My nephews Will and Devon also have their passions- computer games and military history.
So this weekend I vow to continue exploring my artistic nature. Attached is a pic I took of my brother Andrew at an outdoor sculpture garden in Minneapolis.
