Fin Whale

This afternoon, after returning home from deer hunting, we went to see a dead whale that had washed ashore near our house. It was probably about thirty feet long. It was pretty stinky, and chunks of blubber were all over the beach. It had apparently been on the beach for about a week. I think it is a fin whale, though my whale identification skills aren't particularly sharp.

Below is a photo of the whale, and another photo of the whale during happier times.
