Its been awhile...

Howdy friends and family. Sorry its been awhile but once I get out of the blogging routine it's hard to get back "on-blog". Additionally, our camera has been MIA (until today) and I just can not blog without a visual. So there you have it...my excuses.

Well Mike, Cece and I have been busy. Mike took excellent care of Cece while I was gone last weekend (7/18) to a PT course (Strain-Counterstrain) in Seattle. And this weekend, Mike kicked ass putting up the second side of our back yard fence. He demoed the old fence, set the upright posts with concrete in the morning and then in the evening he and I put up the rest of the fence. Sunday and tonight, Mike went fishing- enjoying it as much as possible before hunting season opens this coming weekend.

Cece is thriving. She continues to charm, wow, and amaze us on a daily basis. She's loves going to the pool for tot swim and tomorrow she'll go to her "Music with Mar" class (it's been on hold for the past few months). Coloring, emptying out her bottom two dresser drawers, and puzzles (sometimes 2 or 3 simultaneously) are her favorite activities during the day. Her language is progressively slowly as well- she's a campaign babbler and will make a pretty good effort at word imitation. She definitely has "Dadaaa" "Maaa" "Yeah" "Grrrrr".

My course in Seattle was wonderful. The course content is so exciting that I try to practice "strain counterstrain" on a daily basis (with patients or Mike). I went with two other therapists- Zoya and Elaine- and had great "girl"time and really enjoyed the instructors and other therapists at the course. Shopping was a treat as it wasn't at Safeway or Walmart. Found a remote controlled car, book and bubble maker for Cece. Mike got some toys and two dress shirts (wrinkle-free) for work. And I found 2 shirts and a bigger carry-on bag. Fun fun fun. So now back in Kodiak I've been busy with Cece's schedule, work, back yard fence and crocheting (took a class in late June). Hoping to take a knitting class this weekend.

I hope everyone is well...and if they're not they should go to the doctor (Jerry!). Pics above are from the past month...Cece's slurping skills. -R
