Sleep (First 'Genius' award)

I promised my Mom one more blog posting/ pics tonight. So before I lay me down to sleep... A few weeks ago I saw a great night light on The View and soon after ordered it online (www.goodnitelite.com). It's programable- current time, time to go to bed and time to wake up. It lights up as a blue moon for night time and then as the sun when it's time to wake up. Then after an hour or so from the programed time it shuts off automatically. We've been using it for about a week and what a great difference it's made for Mike and I. Cece loves it and now clearly knows when it's time to go to bed and get up. She still wakes up early but stays in her room and waits to come get us till her sun comes up. Hmmmm...we're all a little happier and rested. So for this blog's first time, we award our first "Genius" award to the Nitelite. Our applause to you for making our lives a little easier. Thank you. Good night, -R

Sophie and Hou, the cat

After seeing the cat pic on my sister Rosella's blog, decided to share these pics of Sophie and Hou (short for Houdini), our peculiar cat. -R

Dinner last night...

For dinner last night, we enjoyed oven roasted sweet potatoes and onions with blueberries for dessert. Yummm. Pics include Sophie eating blueberries, Sophie tush up (learning to crawl), action shot of Cece building a Lego tower (notice falling tower) and "cheese".- R

Fooling around

Mike, Cece and Sophie horsing around with some new head-wear. Sophie also wearing some applesauce from dinner. Not quite what they wore at the Kentucky Derby. :) -R

Spring fishing

A few post-fishing pics from Mike's last 2 outings. He, Sean and his daughter, Beth, caught some Halibut and lots of Cod. Last pic...check out the guy on the mast, he was climbing up the mast as I took the pic with Mike, Cece, Beth and a cod up above. -R

A little free time...

After a busy day at work and home, I'm sitting in the living room, feet up and content. Mike watched Cece while I exercised and showered tonight. Sheer bliss to sweat and then shower by myself. I don't think anyone truly appreciates having time alone in a bathroom until you have small children. So tonight I could enjoy the hot water without Cece asking for some milk or Sophie crying to be picked up. Hmmmm Then to make the night even better, I got to watch American Idol and Glee while I ate some dinner and did a few chores. Crystal Bowersox has already won American Idol (in my opinion). What a gifted singer! Can't wait to hear her first album.
And has anyone else seen that new Zappos commercial- the customer service rep with his telephone headset is listing off a shopping list (?) on his fingers and when this 4-fingered puppet gets to 5, he starts screaming over his missing 5th digit. Funnnnny. lol
Gotta crash and catch some sleep before Sophie wakes up... Good night, -R

Dinner time

Cece is such a great big sister. She loves to feed her baby sister...whether Sophie wants to or not. -R
