I have always loved quilts since Grandmother McGowan made me my own when I was ~6. Log cabin pattern made-up from random pieces of cotton. And huge...enough to wrap up twice in it. Quilts are simply wonderful- functional, individual, artistic, and a beautiful loving gift as they're incredibly labor-intensive. Recently, Sophie and Cece each received beautiful home-made quilts from our friend Jenny. I just love the color combinations and custom artistic details she added (the quilted back piece, etc.). Roxie the quilts look beautiful and such bright colors. Such a treat for Cece and Sophie to get to wrap up in them. The girls look so good. lol mom
