Harvest time

Despite having a very late summer in Kodiak, we are still enjoying a great harvest of the plants we started this Spring. Cucumbers, potatoes, and carrots are ready to enjoy now and soon the peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and a few pumpkins will be ready to pick. Cece loves to go out to the green house to pick some cucumbers or dig up some carrots with Mike. Saw a few strawberries yesterday that are almost ready to pick and the mint we planted our first summer is thriving well and ready for Mojito's. Pics from Wednesday, August 25th, 2010, Cece with newly picked carrots and cucumber, Sophie enjoying one of the cucumbers which she swiped from the fridge and just started munching, and Mike-Cece-Sophie picking some potatoes. -R

Your vegetables are doing much better than ours in PA. I'd love to share that cuke with Sophie. Cece looks like a good helper for her daddy. love you all, grandma judy
