Our first blog...10/28/07While visiting Grandma Joanie after her total hip replacement, Mike, Cecelia and I spent a day at the Omaha Zoo on a recent visit. They have amazing touch pools!
Monkeys eating popcorn at the Omaha Zoo. What an amazing place! Look at the size of those fish in the water. We were on a bridge overlooking a small monkey island. We had thrown out grain pellets to the fish...which accounts for their "healthy" size. Then other visitors arrived with bread and popcorn which was a hit with the monkeys. 
Cecelia had her first chocolate chip wheat-free/ gluten-free cookie on 10/26/07. The Hy-Vee grocery store close to Grandma Joanie's house had a demo table for wheat-free products...including homemade cookies from a mix (oxymoron?). She had one cookie in the store and was so estatic with this new addition to her diet. A second cookie was thoroughly enjoyed in the car. What a mess but so worth it and easily cleaned up. SMILE
