Happy Birthday Sophie!

Happy Birthday Sophie!  3 years old

A bouncer is always a big hit at any party :)

Katie helped with the very popular glitter tattoos.  Happy Birthday Paxson!  6!

Timber

After high winds in Kodiak, this tree blew over in our back yard.  Our guardian angels were watching over us.
Amazed how this healthy tree did not pull up more ground before it fell.
View from the fallen tree looking in at our house.

Getting ready for Halloween 2012

Trying on some costume accessories from last year

Carved pumpkins tonight.  Mike helped Sophie carve on her small pumpkin...a girly smiley face and I helped Cece with her peacock.

Sophie's Dancing

Sophie okay but checking on her Momma frequently (2nd dance class)
Sophie with her wonderful student teacher, Hailey
Sophie's third dance class

Sophie was so excited to start her dance classes this year.  For 2 years, she's sat with me watching her big sister go to dance classes and recitals.  Now it's her turn.  On the first day of classes, she was very quiet and 'glued' to me.  At the end of her class, her Momma suddenly injured her knee and couldn't get up with her.  So she agreed to do the last activity with the student teacher, Hailey.  For her second class, she did the entire class with her Momma sitting along the wall (with her injured knee).  And since then she has become more and more animated, independent, vocal and wonderfully creative.  Love my Sophie-girl, -R

Riding the school bus

On Cece's first day of school, she came home and cried.  Because she couldn't ride the school bus.  So after an impressive amount of persistence, she began taking the bus home her ~ second week of school.  My big Kindergartner.  -R
